Substrate preparation is critical
Our highly skilled team have a wealth of experience in substrate preparation of a wide range of substrates prior to paint. We deal with complex composites, such as Zytel through to carbon fibre and fibre glass on items up to 10 metres in length. Methods range from filling and sanding, to bead blasting and fettling.
Wood
Our dedicated wood division deals with a multitude of objects, from hand built furniture and kitchens, to very intricate show stands and shop displays. Precise accuracy is used when filling, shaping and priming of wood items to ensure a concourse finish is achieved every time.
Plastic
Plastics such as ABS, Polypropylene, Poly Carbonate and Polyethylene are materials that we specialise in. Preparation is crucial on plastics to achieve a high level of adhesion and a very good final finish.
We can also carry out plastic repairs, deburring and and finishing to plastic items including 3D printed objects. Our service is available to customers requiring one-offs at prototype stage to large batch production runs.
Metal
Preparation of metal objects is carried out to our custom specification in a variety of methods. Deburring, fettling, filling and de-greasing are our basic methods. We also offer specialist bead blasting or grit blasting, including ferrous, non ferrous and glass bead (see facilities – blasting for more details).
