Drawing bike fanatics from London, the South East and across the UK – the London Bike Show is a smorgasboard of bike related action ranging from stunning exhibits to hair raising stunts.
Held at London’s ExCel centre in February, this four day show offered a huge choice of entertainment in the form of celebrity speakers, professional assessment areas and the opportunity to take part in a Q&A session with the former World Champion downhill mountain biker Gee Atherton. All in all a highly exciting event that had been expectantly circled in the Wicked Coatings HQ calendar for many months!
So yes – you guessed it, never ones to miss out on a good show or the chance to share our customisation prowess – the Wicked team took to the M3 and headed for the ExCel with a number of sensational machines in tow. As expected, the show was jam packed with bike enthusiasts and we had plenty to contribute in the way of 5 incredible machines including 3 Bournemouth Kawasaki BSB race bikes that we had customised in the new colour scheme for 2015.
Our next bike was selected to be on the custom bike stand! A BMW 100 painted in high gloss metallic black and metallic silver pinstripes and number board- another exciting project in collaboration with the dynamos at Side Rock Motorcycles.
Certainly not one to be outdone by a Kawasaki or a BMW our very own Managing Director Chris Hinks had travelled expectantly to the Excel with a view to unleash his own beast of a bike on the expectant crowd!
Chris’ striking Suzuki GSXR 1100 1986 is certainly no stranger to fame as it has previously taken to the custom bike stand at the MCN show. Having been converted into a street fighter and treated to a full nut and bolt rebuild – this bike has lots of extra trick bits.
As for the hydrographics – the vibrant paint is a mixture of water transfer with the green on the tank, seat unit, number board, front mudguard, engine casings and EBC brake rotors customised in Kyrptek Raid camo and organic green Kandy. The wheels frame and swing arm have been customised with a mud crack effect and purple Kandy.
It was great to see so many of our customers at the show and it really is nice to get the time to chat face to face and hear about what you guys are getting up to this season. Don’t forget that we are now offering the incredible opportunity to take up a franchise of the Wicked Coatings brand. If you are thinking of changing direction in your career and enjoy a challenge then get in touch now!
Excitingly we have just been shortlisted as one of the most successful businesses in the UK with a SCOOT headline award! Having the power of the Wicked Coatings brand behind you will give your franchise a flying start and could undoubtedly lead to great things.
A dream is only a dream until that you take that first step into the unknown – so come and visit our stand at the British and International Franchise exhibition in March and talk things over with us if you think a Wicked Coatings franchise could be for you. Move quickly though to ensure that your territory isn’t snapped up!
