Having been elbow deep in carbon fibre film for much of the year, the Wicked team was delighted to swap the confines of the factory floor for the glorious sights and sounds of the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed!
Set within the spectacular grounds of Goodwood House, this event is a testosterone fuelled celebration of the biggest, fastest and best vehicles of all time.
From famous drivers to some of the most epic race cars in the World – the festival never fails to draw a diverse audience of some of the most passionate automotive fans from across the globe.
So where better for the Wicked team to be than right in the centre of this motoring party, promoting our Hydrographics stand and surrounded by a sexy display of samples, awesome carbon dipping patterns and even a couple of customised machines!
Boasting a full carbon interior trim, with carbon arches and mirrors, our Landrover Defender 110 was positioned right at the front of the stand alongside an incredible Kawasaki ER6 race bike. With full race livery and featuring carbon dipping throughout the design, this bike proved to be a great hit with many of the visitors to the stand.
This was a great opportunity for us to meet a large number of motoring enthusiasts who were keen to understand the whole process of Hydrographics and the costs entailed to achieve the type of customisation that turns heads on a regular basis!
We were able to explain just how cost effective the art form of Hydrographics really is and to show samples of what can be achieved by our team of carbon dipping and paint spraying experts.
It was a hugely successful event for Wicked Coatings and a real privilege to be displaying our services to a gathering of likeminded enthusiasts who enjoy customisation as much as we do!
A real highlight of the weekend for us was undoubtedly the Vulcan Bomber and the roar from its Rolls-Royce Olympus two-spool axial-flow turbojet engines.
Now there would be a great candidate for our next Wicked custom paint spraying and Hydrographics project…
So a huge thank you to everyone who attended our stand at the Festival of Speed – it was great to see some familiar faces and to meet the real advocates of our Hydrographics industry.
